Pot Hustla
Charisse Case
I began playing poker in 2014, 7 years ago. Some friends of mine were hosting Wednesday night poker and I decided to stop by one night. By the end of the night, I knew right then…I was hooked.
It’s been nonstop poker since. After about a year of playing the home game, I finally built up enough courage to walk into Capital Casino in downtown Sacramento. I jumped in a $1/3 no-limit table and pretty much got my ass handed to me.
Well, that got old fast, so I began reading, watching videos, and really paying attention to plays on televised poker. Boy, did that help! Fast forward to July 2018, I decided to take the leap and quit working to play poker full-time.
I was a document production coordinator for an environmental consulting firm for many years. I loved my job, but I became so passionate about poker that I made it my new career. I enjoy both cash games and tournaments. As for tournaments, I haven’t hit a big one yet, but I’m well on my way.
I’m a mother of two beautiful children and I have an incredible man who supports me very much. My family, my dog, our horses, and our beautiful home surrounded by pine trees is everything to me. Good luck to all and hope to see you on the felt.
